Clonakilty Park Hotel West Cork Rally – Press Release #2

Preparations are coming on well for the 2019 Clonakilty Park Hotel West Cork Rally which takes place on March 16th & 17th next. The rally is the second round of both the Irish Tarmac Rally Championship and the British Rally Championship as well as being the opening round of the PlasticBags.ie Southern 4 Rally championship. Clerk of the Course Greg McCarthy has scheduled fifteen classic stages with nine of the tests taking place on the opening day and six on the second day, all in daylight. The Clonakilty Park Hotel (formerly the Quality Hotel) is once again the Rally Headquarters for the weekend. Centralised service will be located in the grounds of Darrara Agricultural College as in previous years. As always, there will a be a historic
and junior section, with the historic rally beginning on stage 5, and the junior rally taking in all of Sundays stages.

Regulations for the rally will be available in the coming weeks to download from the www.westcorkrally.com website. Any enquiries for accomodation should be directed to Mick Hanly at the email address chamber@clonakilty.ie. A rally guide for the event has also been attached with the relevant information.
