CMC Co-Driver Classes 2026
Cork Motor Club will once again host complimentary Co Driver classes to attract newcomers to motorsport & help current competitors hone their skill set. The Club has a long history of producing successful top level co drivers & we hope this continues for a long time to come. Anyone can be a top level Co Driver. Like the lotto ad says “It could be You”!
The classes will take place in Deebert House, Hotel, Kilmallock (V35 KV62) over 5 evenings: Tuesday 14th, 21st & 28th July & Thursday 20th & 27th August.
The first two evenings will focus on an Introduction to Stage Rallying covering all aspects from entering & starting an event until the event is finished/ results are final. Both evenings will offer a blend of “Old School” pen & paper skills as well as embracing modern day Apps, Sportity, WhatsApp Groups & Digital Maps etc. We will also offer you an insight into the “Tracker Room” from experienced personnel.
The third evening is solely on Pace Note Tips/ Pointers offering advice on everything related to pace notes.
The final 2 nights will focus on how to get started on Night Navigation Trials – which are the foundation of a good Co Driver – this is where many successful Co drivers started.
· Everyone Welcome (Especially Newcomers, while Current Drivers & Co Drivers may also find it informative/ worthwhile).
· Minors welcome – The Club will have a Child welfare officer in attendance each evening. (Note; you can get a navigator licence from age 16).
· The Club will provide all handouts/ booklets & stationary/ everything required each evening.
