Latest Details on 2022 West Cork Rally

The Clonakilty Park Hotel West Cork Rally 2022, which runs for the 42nd time, is now little over two weeks away and entries for this iconic rally are flowing in. Competitors are reminded that seeding for the event will begin on Sunday evening next, March 6th. If you plan to compete in West Cork and wish to be included on the published seeded list, your entry should be in by this date.

Cork Motor Club, in conjunction with Clonakilty Chamber of Commerce, will be offering a €50 euro voucher to all main field and historic crews taking part. This incentive has been running for a number of years now and is very popular with competitors. There is also an incentive for junior competitors, with a €100 refund offered on the entry fee if both crew members marshal on the Saturday of the rally.

The two-day rally is the second round of the Acesigns Irish Tarmac Rally Championship (third round of the Historic series) and the opening round of the IPS Packaging Southern 4 Rally Championship. The main field will attempt fourteen stages taking in some truly classic tests, while the Historic Rally begins on Stage 5.

The Junior Rally takes place over all six of Sundays stages. There will be centralised service as usual after every two stages on the Saturday and after three stages on Sunday.

Cork Motor Club are also delighted to announce that HM Productions will provide a live streaming service on the event this year. This will include live coverage of all stages, start and end of day interviews, service park interviews, and studio analysis. More details of this exciting coverage will be posted on social media and the event website in the coming days.
