CMC Co-Driver Classes 2024

Cork Motor Club will once again host Co Driver classes to attract newcomers to motorsport & help current competitors improve their skill set.  

Taking place over 3 Tuesday evenings in July & August; the first will be based on an Introduction to Stage Rallying covering all aspects from entering & starting an event until the event is finished/ results are final.

The second evening will be purely focussed on Pace Note Tips/ Pointers offering advice on everything related to pace notes.  The final night will be solely on how to get started on Night Navigation Trials – which are the foundation of a good Co Driver – this is where many successful Co drivers started.

Tony O’Keeffe / Derek O’Donoghue will tell us how they got started following our previous presentation in 2022 – going on to claim the Beginner title this year.

Everyone Welcome (Especially Newcomers, while Current Drivers & Co Drivers may also find it informative/ worthwhile).

  • Minors welcome (Note; you can get a navigator licence from age 16, The Club will have a Child welfare officer in attendance each evening).
  • The Club will provide handouts/ booklets & stationary/ everything required each evening.
  • Please complete the registration form & return by email or WhatsApp to Greg Shinnors no later than 21.00 Friday 19/07/24 so the Club can finalise numbers/ photocopies etc.
